Privacy Policy

Pentarab built Artoon, an app that turns the photos you choose into AI-generated artwork across dozens of styles, offered with an auto-renewing weekly subscription. This Privacy Policy explains what information Artoon handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. We designed Artoon to handle as little of your data as possible and to keep your photos private.

Generating art is the only time Artoon sends anything off your device. When you tap Generate, the single photo you selected is uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to Pentarab's processing service, which forwards it to our AI image providers to render your chosen style. Your photo is used solely to fulfill that one generation request.

• We do not require an account, name, email, or login to use Artoon.
• We do not store your uploaded photo in any database or profile. It is held only transiently to perform the generation and is not retained on our servers afterward.
• The generated image is returned to your device and saved locally in the app’s History. It is not kept in a Pentarab account.

The image transformation itself is performed by trusted third-party AI image-processing providers. To generate your art, your selected photo is transmitted to a provider over an encrypted connection and processed solely to fulfill that request, under the provider's own privacy and security terms. Per those terms, content submitted for processing is not used to train AI models. We do not sell your photos, and we never share them with anyone other than the processing provider for the sole purpose of creating your requested image.

Artoon's features are unlocked through an auto-renewing weekly subscription sold via the Apple App Store. All payments and billing are processed by Apple — Pentarab never receives or stores your payment card details, Apple ID, or billing address.

To confirm that your subscription is active and to enforce fair-use limits, the app sends Apple's cryptographically signed transaction (StoreKit) to our service. From it we derive an anonymous transaction identifier. This identifier is used only to (1) verify your subscription entitlement and (2) count your generations against the daily and weekly limits below. It is not linked to your name or identity, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or services.

To keep the service fast and sustainable, Artoon enforces daily and weekly generation limits tied to that anonymous identifier. For this we store only a small per-identifier counter and its reset timestamps — never your photos or generated images. When a limit is reached, generation pauses until it automatically resets.

The following stays on your device and is never sent to us:

• Your generation History — the images you created and the original photos you generated them from.
• App settings and preferences.

This on-device data is removed when you delete the app. You can also delete individual items from within the app.

Artoon contains no third-party advertising, no cross-app tracking, and no analytics SDKs that identify you. We do not sell or share your data. Photo data is used only to produce the art you asked for.

All data sent for generation is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Because we do not retain your photos or build user profiles, there is no stored library of your images for anyone — including us — to access.

Artoon is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.

You are responsible for the photos you upload. You should only upload images you own or have the right to use, and you must not use Artoon to create content depicting real people without their consent. See our Terms of Service for the full acceptable-use rules.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Artoon after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
