Terms of Service

By downloading or using the DeskEcho app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the app.

Pentarab grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use DeskEcho on any Apple-branded device you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and the Apple Standard EULA.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app. All intellectual property rights belong to Pentarab.

DeskEcho offers auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock premium features such as additional Desk Mode themes, widget styles, and extended mood tag history. The following terms apply to all subscription purchases:

• Subscription length, price, and the features unlocked are clearly displayed in the app before you confirm any purchase.
• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews for the same period at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions by going to your App Store account settings after purchase.
• No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

New subscribers may be eligible for a 3-day free trial of the annual subscription. The free trial is offered once per subscription group, in line with Apple's policy. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your Apple ID will be charged at that time.

DeskEcho also offers non-consumable one-time in-app purchases that unlock specific themes or feature bundles. These purchases:

• Are billed once at the time of purchase with no automatic renewal.
• Remain available across your devices and can be restored via the App Store on devices signed in to the same Apple ID.
• Are eligible for Apple Family Sharing where supported.
• Are not eligible for the free trial offer described above.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s refund policy.

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy. Please contact Apple Support to request a refund.

DeskEcho lets you publish short mood tags to a shared, anonymized stream hosted on Apple iCloud (CloudKit Public Database). By publishing a mood tag, you agree that:

• Your tag may be viewed by other DeskEcho users worldwide as part of the ambient stream.
• You will not include personal, confidential, or identifying information in tags.
• You will not publish content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes the rights of others.
• Pentarab may remove tags that violate these terms or applicable platform policies without notice.
• You retain whatever rights you have in your own tag text, but you grant Pentarab and other DeskEcho users a worldwide, royalty-free right to display the tag within the app as long as it remains published.

You agree to use DeskEcho only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, abuse the CloudKit Public Database, automate tag submission, or interfere with other users' experience of the app.

The app may require updates to continue functioning. You agree to accept updates when offered. We may modify or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.

DeskEcho is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Pentarab makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the app's reliability, the availability of CloudKit, or the suitability of any user-submitted mood tag for any particular purpose. Pentarab is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from your use of the app.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
